How Water Damage Affects Your Home (and What to Watch For)

  • Hidden moisture behind walls and under flooring — which can lead to structural damage.

  • Mold growth if dampness is left unaddressed.

  • Warped wood, buckled floors, damaged drywall, stains, and odor.

  • Risk to contents: furniture, documents, electronics may be ruined.

Our Water Damage Restoration Process

Phase 1: Inspection & Damage Assessment

  • We examine the affected areas: walls, floors, ceilings, crawlspaces, basements.

  • We use moisture sensors/meters, thermal imaging (if needed), and visually inspect all damage.

  • We document the scope: water source, spread, damage to structure, contents, potential hazards (mold, sewage, contaminants).

Phase 2: Water Extraction & Removal

  • We remove standing water using professional-grade pumps and extractors.

  • We perform a “pack-out” of salvageable contents when needed, moving furniture/valuables to a safe place.

  • We remove saturated materials (carpet, baseboards, insulation, damaged drywall) — if needed — to prevent further damage.

Phase 3: Drying, Dehumidification & Monitoring

  • We place industrial air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying equipment.

  • We monitor moisture levels daily until the structure reaches safe dryness (floors, walls, subfloors, crawlspaces).

  • If needed, we treat the property for mold prevention.

Phase 4: Cleaning & Sanitization

  • Clean and sanitize affected areas (especially if water was contaminated — e.g. sewage, flood).

  • Clean salvageable contents: carpets, upholstery, personal items, documents (when possible).

  • Treat odor issues (mildew, water-stained smells) to ensure safe, healthy indoor air.

Phase 5: Restoration & Repairs

  • Replace or repair damaged structural elements — drywall, flooring, trim, paint, etc.

  • Restore home to pre-loss condition (or better), including finishes, paint, flooring, fixtures.

  • Perform a final walk-through and moisture check.
